COUNTY CONSERVATIVE CHAIR SAYS MATT DOHENY WILL GET ITS LINE FOR CONGRESSIONAL BID—Hank Ford told 99 News this morning after a meet-and-greet held in Canton by Republican Doheny that the pro-choice Doheny represents enough conservative principles—lower taxes, downsizing government, etc. that the state party organization will bend a little and choose him to endorse over pro-life Kellie Greene and pro-life Doug Hoffman if he chooses to run for the 23rd District seat now held by Democrat Bill Owens. Ford, a state Conservative Party Committee member says “....we have to have a candidate that packs the juice, and Doheny can beat Owens; the others can't.” Doheny took second place to Owens in 2010 by about 1900 votes; Ford says hard-line conservative Hoffman divided the right which essentially handed the election to Owens.
