OWENS BLASTED FOR SUPPORTING FARM BILL—A caller during a telephone town hall by Congressman Bill Owens this week told the House Agriculture Committee member farmers should be treated like any other business. This, in response to Owens's support of the package that includes a dairy price support based on margin insurance. Owens says his support of the 2012 Farm Bill is a matter of national security—supporting the American food supply so the US does not have to depend on other countries to eat.
