POTSDAM TOWN COUNCIL MEMBER WANTS NUMBERS ON VILLAGE HIGHWAY TAX TAKEOVER REQUEST—Rose Rivezzi told the rest of the council Tuesday the idea of the Town taking over the highway budget lines for maintenance of Town roads in the Village of Potsdam should at least be discussed. The idea came to the fore most prominently as a formal public request by joint Village-Town Dissolution Study Committee Chair Tim Connolly, as an equity issue. Highway Superintendent John Keleher said Tuesday “the Village would have better off just to dissolve, in my opinion.” The council is expected to have the discussion next month.
