POTSDAM MAYOR SEEKS INPUT ON TAX EXEMPTIONS—State Yurgartis told Trustees Monday he would like to hear from them and the public to see what could be done to offer more tax breaks, especially for new home construction. The village's Comprehensive Plan has points to encourage housing growth, especially in single-family dwellings and housing options for specific groups like senior citizens.
ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT COUNCIL SEEKS MEMBERS—The Council is an advisory panel to the Board of Legislators that makes policy recommendations. There are several openings on the council, it has had problems in recent months meeting quorum to send recommendations to the Legislature.
