SMALL CHANGES MEAN BIG ENERGY SAVINGS FOR POTSDAM CENTRAL SCHOOL—Cost Savings Committee Chair Tom Hobbs told the Board of Education Tuesday moves to cut down on appliance usage and switching to LED lights led to a 9-to-10 percent reduction in kilowatt usage, that brought the electric bill for August down by between 4-and-6-thousand dollars....roughly half what it was the same time last year. Committee member Fred Stone says the kilowatt savings resulted in the school district going into a lower rate bracket.
