TOWN OF RUSSELL TO SAVE BIG MONEY ON ELECTRICITY WITH SOLAR PANELS—Supervisor Bob Best told us the panels, expected to be operational by mid-December, will generate a quarter-million-dollars worth of power over their useful life. The panels will electrify the health center and library-museum building. The panels will be “net-metered”--meaning the buildings will stay on the National Grid system; any power generated over what is needed will go into the grid, any power that is needed the Town will pay for.
